One of the scariest events in a seniors' life is falling. What makes that event even worse? Falling with no one around to help. I experienced a fall while living alone. Shortly after, I made the decision to move to The Broadmoor Retirement Community. I wanted to have peace-of-mind. The Broadmoor has given me just that. I know if I'm ever in that same situation, help is just a shout away. And, as an added bonus, I've made wonderful friends and stay involved in countless activities. Now, I no longer worry about what could happen. I simply live life the way I want to...worry-free.

My sister and I brought our parents to The Broadmoor Retirement Community three years ago. It was the best decision we ever made. Mother is thrilled that she never has to cook another meal. They have been married seventy-one years and she has cooked enough. The décor is warm and inviting and the staff is so friendly they make our parents feel at home and that they are loved and not alone. We believe The Broadmoor Retirement Community has enriched their lives as now they don't have to worry about anything. They can just sit back and enjoy the fellowship of the other residents and be as involved in all the activities as they choose. They are very happy and that makes us happy.

To whom it may concern,
I would like to tell you of an experience my Mom and I had at The Broadmoor. Mom, Ethel Richardson, has four relatives in from out of town. One one occasion, we elected to eat at The Broadmoor. I went to the front desk and asked to reserve a table for six in the dining room for lunch the next day. When we came to the dining room, I expected a table with a reserved sign in the dining room. To my wonderment, Jean, the Manager took us to the meeting room. She had a fancy table set for six with a drink table and then she served lunch to us. Also, Jean volunteered to take pictures and set us totally at ease. This was a wonderful experience and made for a wonderful family occasion.
I would like to recommend Jean for her grace and thoughtfulness. I just thought you should know how great Jean is as the manager of The Broadmoor.
Sincerely,
- Mike Richardson, Broadmoor Family Member
I am so happy I chose The Broadmoor Retirement Community. I just wish I would have moved here years ago! I love it!

Dear Ms. Embry,
I have been out of the state for two weeks with my family for the recent Christening of our new grandson, or I would have written sooner. I recently was called to Tulsa to help my mother in law, Betty Thomas. She has become progressively worse and when I arrived, I found her very ill. I was faced with getting her from her home of about 50 years and into a hospital and then into rehab and finally into a "new" home. The task was very difficult, as she was very ingrained and she did not want another place, and just wanted to be left alone. I am quite certain, that had I followed her wishes, she would have died.
This is when I met with Pam Bell at Broadmoor. This was the beginning of hope for Betty. Pam was such a welcome relief and was so very honest and open with facts and information that helped me walk in the correct direction. She introduced me to Jean McQueary, and D. J. who each added a layer of information and direction. She even met with me several times, one time well after her normal working hours. I just had to let you know what a wonderful person she is, she always made me feel as if I had known her for years. No question was too difficult or silly. I was dealing with a very difficult mother in law, so I really needed to stay on course. Pam's efforts went well beyond what a normal employee is expected to do; she is a tremendous representative of your mission statement.
To short a very long and interesting story, Betty was first placed in Leisure Village under the professional and tender care of Debby Johnson. She now lives in a two-bedroom apartment at the Broadmoor, where she recently even won first place in a "wet T shirt" contest, which brings a smile to my face. This is where each person threw wet t-shirts into baskets across the room. It is wonderful to see her sharing in the fun of living, making friends and joining in the activities. She loves the food; she was hardly eating or drinking before she arrived. Well again, just a note to express our family's thanks to Pam and the entire staff. I will never forget the kindness expressed in our time of need.

Living at The Broadmoor conjures up images of friendly faces, a safe environment, and marvelous caring services. Maybe you're still living in your own home, like I was, with some health problems. But, you dream of less stress, less boredom, and finding someone to help with all the hassles of home ownership. Do you long for a lifestyle full of good friends and neighbors? A reasonable cost of living with someone else cooking and cleaning for you? Do you seek fun activities or enjoy taking a trip from time-to-time? Are you looking for the best retirement living community you can find? One that provides all this and more? We'll I have the answer. It's The Broadmoor!
I have lived at The Broadmoor for about a year now. A few weeks ago, while talking to my son, he mentioned that he had thought I was crazy when I decided to sell my house and move to a retirement community. He finished that statement telling me he could now see how well it has all worked out; and he was so happy I had found such a great place to call home. Here are just a few things I love about The Broadmoor:
• I have made close friends.
• The wing I live on has become a good, caring community. We watch out for each other and help each other where needed.
• My apartment is cleaned each week until it sparkles.
• The chef is marvelous! Our meals are delicious and the wait staff is so caring about making sure we get what we want, the way we want it.
• I love the activities and the exercise programs.
• We have a concierge service available, if needed, to take us to doctor and other various appointments.
• When I moved in, I was able to customize my own apartment to my liking. I was able to choose the paint and the flooring to make it "my home."
• I still feel free. I can get in my car and go where I want, when I want. Or I can have ultimate privacy and stay in my apartment.
• I feel safe at The Broadmoor. There are no strangers coming to my door to solicit.
• The cost is reasonable. About the same as living at home.
• If something breaks or is not functioning properly in my apartment, there is someone there to quickly respond to my needs.
I am so happy I am living at The Broadmoor Retirement Living Community!

To the Staff and all who have cared,
People often asked me, during my three months at The Broadmoor, "What is it like to be a Snow Bird?" My reply has been, "Coming to The Broadmoor is like going to visit a relative you really enjoy, and who cares about making your visit special."
From the moment you enter the front door, you feel so comforted. The atmosphere at The Broadmoor is very loving and you feel special. If you want to rest, you have a lovely apartment. Everything furnished just for you.
If it is activities you want, well, there are lots of those too. Everything from doing crafts and playing games, to taking trips each month. There is no shortage of entertainment at The Broadmoor.
Food? Oh yes! You have many, many wonderful and delicious choices from which to choose. All day long.
